    Ok, I’m assuming I need to turn that ccw with a vice grip as it doesn’t turn easy. Also, there is a plastic/rubber piece that goes over that same splined shifter rod that has a notch in it, what direction does that go? Thanks

    1976 135HP evinrude loses spark too 1 cylinder afer idle

    I have a 1976 135 that has a stumble/miss after idle, it took3 guys in the boat, but figured out that the motor has spark to #1 cylinder at idle, but it loses spark at 1/2 throttle thru full throttle. Changed plugs,swapped wires on power pack, still not letting power to #1 after 1/2 throttle...

    1976 Evinrude 135hp cutting out.

    I have a 1976 evinrude 135hp that I rebuilt last summer. Installed new electronics and rebuilt the carbs. The motor runs fine at idle 1/2 and 3/4 throttle, but as soon as I go to full throttle the engine cuts out in a about 5 seconds, if I pull back the throttle to 3/4, it comes right out of it...
