Only 2 9ft stringers on the whole boat? Need to add more?

This is how my setup was, albeit my boat may be smaller because my stringers were 3/4" plywood. As you can see how stringers, bulkheads and engine mounts are ties together to form the spine "structural part" of your boat.

    88 Capri Restoration (Splashed 08/2022)

Mine did too! I purchased DE1611, the cap of course looked a bit darker but it makes a cleaner/brighter look. I will get the OMC charcoal paint for the drive though.

She's getting one more coat, the color is a bit lighter than I wanted but I kinda like it. Should be getting installed next weekend! Then onto getting the drive installed!

    CDI Shift Interupter

Hi all, I posted this in my other thread but I picked up a good running engine and it had this CDI Shift Interupter on it. Is this something I should keep or revert back to the original setup. Thank you.

    88 Capri Restoration (Splashed 08/2022)

My other engine ran obviously but it just didn't sound right. I'm just wondering about valves because one cylinder was alot lower on compression than the other three, which may be why I had trouble getting the idle in the correct range. I'm definitely going to tear into it at some point in the...

    88 Capri Restoration (Splashed 08/2022)

This engine came with the CDI shift interupter on it, is it a good unit or should I use the OEM setup. I'm sure there are pros and cons to both, concerned about dependability.

Picture of both. For some reason the video of it running doesn't have a thumbnail but you can hear it running.

    88 Capri Restoration (Splashed 08/2022)

Hi everyone, It's been quite sometime for an update, but I have news that should put some of the issues I've had with the drive train to rest. I was fortunate to find a perfectly running engine and drive for extremely little money. I did the typical prestart procedure due to it sitting for many...

    Restoring 1988 19’ bayliner capri

I would have lifted it either way because everything in the boat has a structural purpose and even though a cradle would have been best I had no way of doing so. The way I had to do it seemed to work well as I had no issues on the lake operational wise. The cost of materials has in some cases...

    Restoring 1988 19’ bayliner capri

I have an I/O in my 1750 so the procedure for the transom may be different, I didn't need to remove the cap but did leave a very small ridge of glass from the old one for a guide to install the new one. (No more than 1/4") I still had alot more grinding to do after this picture was taken to get...
