1995 Mercury 40hp 2 stroke- It Cranks, Has Spark & fuel. Won't start!

Can you turn it over with a pull start rope ? If you had enough water in the fuel, it could gave rusted and siezed, but overnight ?? If you can turn it over by hand then the starter is bad or the battery is low.

Today's trolling motors could easily bring you home. I can get over 8 hrs run time from my setup. Even at only 3 mph it would cover 25 miles, plenty to get me back even if slow...not sure your gonna go much faster with oars.

FWY Trailering 2855 with Dinghy on swim platform

Many states have overhang laws, meaning the rear most part has to be a certain distance from the tail lights on the trailer. Last time I looked, our state was 36" so if your platform and dingy hang out more than 36" from the tail lights you could have an issue, or might beed to add tail lights.

    Cleaning fishing rods

Haven't used scents in years, the reason being, back in the day, those scents were weird like licorice, and other scents that a fish would never know about. Most were just masking scents to cover human scents. Today....I don't know, we see very little if any scent ads or articles talking about...
