    AQ125/270 Still overheating (PLEASE HELP)

while running on muffs, there should be water flowing under the cap of the strainer, lots of water. pull the cap and see. if you've got good flow there, I'd suspect the exhaust manifold is clogged.

when I rock a bathroom, I put a couple screws in the wall next to where the piece will be on the ceiling about 3/4" down from the ceiling joists to catch one side of the sheet, then use a "t" made of 2x4. the t should be long enough to brace the sheet tight to the ceiling. set the sheet on the...

I'm hoping someone more experienced can help me with this. I'm replacing a pump in my hot tub. the new motor is aftermarket so I'm not sure if it is wired differently or not. in this post I'll post pics of the original motor and wiring, and in the next post I'll post a poc of the diagram on...

    Possible hydro lock?

pull the spark plugs and try the starter again, ASAP! if it's hydrolocked water will come out. if you get water out, put the plugs back in and try to start it again. you don't want water sitting in the motor.

1986 Bayliner Capri with AQ125B won’t go past idle in reverse

    1980 crest/maurell 25'

I'd go with this prop https://boatpropellers.iboats.com/Johnson/85_HP_(1969-1980)_13.00-Pitch_Amita_2413-133-13_Propeller/79/6201/?cart_id=243489019

I'd say halfway submerged is about right. gives you some room to load up the boat. that tracker is floating low imo, probably a 20footer with a large motor. I suspect someone added that wedge to lower the pod, it might not be original to the boat. my pod is 3-4 inches below the waterline at...

diameter doesn't matter as much as long as it fits. I think mine is around 14.5ish.

    Main fuse

you're going to have to keep looking. I can't see your boat, but my fuse panel is in my helm. so, can you get inside the helm? start working your way back? do you have a "master" switch at the helm?

    1980 crest/maurell 25'

If it were me, I would pick up a different prop, that small diameter 17p seems like a terrible choice for that boat. do you have a tach? I have a similar size boat and motor and I'm running a four blade, 13p prop that has served me well. as stated, you may be forced to rework your pod and...

    1980 crest/maurell 25'

with pontoons, you want the motor lower. I'd drop it to the lowest position and see how it behaves. in your second pic, the motor looks too high. what prop are you using?

it's going to be slow but will move it. stay on small lakes, a strong wind could make it a challenge.

Need advice on fine tuning a new pontoon (minor cavitation)

no two props are the same. I was running a 4 blade 13p prop for a few years. I hit something, so I switched to a different brand, same specs, and gained 1-2 mph. I've been running the four blade, 13 pitch, now for a long time. I don't buy stainless or fancy expensive props since I boat in...
