Good luck fitting a tank below deck. Space below is too small. I couldn’t find any tanks that would fit.

Do I need a title for registration or can I just have a bill of sale

For MN, if I remember correctly, if a boat has been registered and had a title, the new owner must remit the registration card AND the title that they received from the seller. If the seller lost the title, they should get a replacement title BEFORE the sell the boat and before you give them...

    anyone use fishing line?

Mono won't last, will rot in the sun in a couple years. There are a few guys on here that do upholstery work, they will stere you toward the right stuff. Otherwise, I would try something like PowerPro. 10-20# test.

    Moeller 12 Gallon LPT

Drill a hole in the top of the tank. Install a tire valve stem with the inside needle removed. Put the little cap on when needed Remove it to vent the tank. Don’t think an old cap will work. The threads are different.

    Spring must be close.

Ok boat is ready. Trailer is ready. Only need to disconnect battery maintainer and top off the gas. Ready for walleye fishing as soon as the ice is off the river sometime in the next 3 to 6 weeks. 😕. 4-6” of snow forecast for tonight, and 4-7” more later in the week. 😨

    What size

Definitely worth the $ to have a gear box with reverse. If you plan on running the motor for more than 15 minutes at a time, you should really consider a 2 cylinder motor. If you plan on trolling, definitely get a 2 cylinder.

    Leaking boat

Use the boat on warm sunny days. The water will evaporate. If it really bothers you , clean and seal all seams inside and outside, with gluvit. Don’t use any kind of caulk or silly silicone.

What type transom straps do you prefer

Only time I've had a transom strap loosen, is when the boat moved /settled, when going down the road. The old trailer would flex a little and the boat would wiggle a little, and the straps would have a little slack in them. Adjusted bow roller height and problem went away.

What type transom straps do you prefer

These are the ones I use on the 2 boats now. Also have one of these that I put over the gunnels, extra safety and it keeps the cover from ballooning and flopping around. None of these have ever loosed up, even on 1,000+ mile trips.

What type transom straps do you prefer

I bought a set of these a 3 years ago. Loved them. About 7 launchings per year in fresh water. Last year one failed, locked up. Couldn't get it to release. Had to cut it off at the ramp. 2 weeks later, the other failed, would tighten almost far enough, then would slip loose.

    1982 MR 180

Hook 7 or Helix 7 I've got one of each, and a new in the box Helix5 gen 2, that I picked up at a rummage for $100. Or if you want larger and easier to read, go for the 9" models. Go for the model that gives you sonar and gps map. Both are pretty easy to use. Either will work great for you. No...

    How does RV financing work?

Be careful with a “construction to permanent “ type loan. Many have restrictions as to how you can use the property. Specifically the use of a camper.
