    Did you ever wonder?

Don't forget the old guys who don't truly understand how the internet works. They fumble around until they find a likely forum, ask a question, then either can't remember where or how they got there, or get lost in the interwebz, shuffling aimlessly around, frantically searching on how to get...

What rifle to scope for hunting?

Yeah, I've seen some videos of that. Around here, the hog hunters seem to like night hunting with NV/IR scopes on suppressed rifles at a couple hundred yards. As for me, I'm more of a traditionalist. I dug around and found pix of my old Winchester Model 100.

What rifle to scope for hunting?

I had a Winchester Model 100 semi-auto in .308 and the recoil from that rifle was lighter than from my old .30-30. We did a camo job on it and it turned out beautiful. Scoped it too. Great gun. I bet it would work well with a reticle type optic for quick sighting.

    Nobody fishing?

This afternoon we got the KF out on the water for the first fishing trip in a long time. The Garmin Striker Plus 4 worked great after being moved from the trolling motor to the helm console with the transducer at the stern. On future trips, we're going to map the lake. :D And the new (to...

I have returned... with a Starcraft this time!

Got the Garmin moved! Haven't had a chance to take it on the water yet, but I definitely like having the head unit on the console and the transducer at the stern. Not that it means that I'll have to buy a second unit to mount on the bow later. Or something. 😁 From 11-4-23

    1976 Starcraft Chieftain 18' OB - restomod

From 8-8-22 The "hole" mess. 🤪 External patch designed and test fit with clecos. The patch. We filled the big ugly hole with a 1/4" solid rivet, plus some JBMW. The I slathered the hole completely with JBMW. Underneath. Grinding the large rivet head down.

    1976 Starcraft Chieftain 18' OB - restomod

From 7-12-22 This was the mess: We designed a patch to cover everything, inside and out, for this particular setup. At this point, we took a major break from work.
