    Boat Inspection Jupiter FL

I sold a boat to a guy in Australia back in 2000. Even with shipping, his cost was about 1/4 of buying a boat there.

    Flying during pandemic

I sure as heck would NOT get on a plane right now. Not for any reason. I pretty much don't do anything either. Didn't go inside any stores for about 6 months, then I made a mistake on New Year's Eve and went to Clearwater Beach with my family. We ate at a restaurant in the outdoor section...

    1984 Mercury Trim Question

Yep, it comes off as one unit. Make sure that you take extra care to not let the pump fall. Mine fell and pranged the top of the pump to the point that it was inoperable. Doh. You can see it resting on the bottom of the shop crane in the pic. It fell over and landed on the top...

I have returned... with a Starcraft this time!

We've been very busy doing other things related to the garage, etc. but finally got back to the KF this morning. I hooked the tach up directly to the rectifier and still no joy on the right side lead where it was originally connected. But once I swapped the gray wire over to the left side of...

    1984 Mercury Trim Question

That's the same unit I have on my 1985 Mercury 50HP 2-stroke. It works well. I also have a pair of 70HP Mercs with the exact same setup which I'll use on my Chieftain. My throttle control handle has 2 switches, one is used during trimming and the other is used for raising to trailering...

    2020 Starmada SOTY Winner: Classiccat's 1975 18ft Super Sport

Thanks to all for your kind words. The KF project was quite something. Both "the boy" and I were rank amateurs at the start. We both learned a lot and I have no doubt that he'll make good use of what we've learned from the project, and from all of the great folks here in the Starmada! :geek:

    2020 Starmada SOTY Winner: Classiccat's 1975 18ft Super Sport

Thanks CCat! It was an honor to be in the running with you! As for 2021, so far it's the same as 2020, but more of a mean drunk! LMAO! 😝 :ROFLMAO:

    1966 Starcraft Holiday Interior Work

XPS dissolves, which is why I covered much of mine at the stern with HDPE (gasoline proof) bags.

I need a freeware drawing program which has a grid or something so that I can make a scale diagram. Suggestions?

I have returned... with a Starcraft this time!

We resolved the mounting clearance issues yesterday, then tested the tach prior to final installation. Hooked up the harness from the throttle controller and attached the wires as follows: From Harness Purple 12vdc to red and blue tach wires. Red for B+ and blue for lighting. Black ground...

I have returned... with a Starcraft this time!

We got the steering wheel off yesterday. I bought a large, heavy, Grade 8 nut and put it on the steering wheel shaft. The boy pulled on the wheel and I whanged on the nut once and the wheel immediately popped off. :D After that, we measured everything to make sure that the tach would have...

    22' Islander rebuild

That's exactly what I used. Great stuff. Very tough and super easy to touch up. I also added a little Rustoleum Anti-Skid additive to give it a bit more traction. (y) 😎

    Tackle boxes

I still keep an old Daiwa take-down rod with its storage box in my truck. I've had that thing almost 40 years and it's caught a ton of fish. It's been broken and repaired and broken again, but is still usable after all these years. I don't use my truck very much anymore. I suppose I should...
