    Kicker Mounting on Transom of 18 foot 1980 Starcraft Holiday

    I need a kicker on my 18 ft 1980 holiday but the transom will not allow for mounting. The way it is curved is just not going to accept a motor. I'm not a fan of brackets. I don't really want to mess with making a new transom either. Does anyone have any solutions they have seen?? Your input...

    Idles Great but No Power

    1979 Merc 115 6 cyl. Starts and idles great. No power at all in gear. Motor will "rev" up over 4-5k in neutral and sounds good. Seems like ignition/timing issue. Any ideas?

    Hard Starting/Idling - Smokin Bad when fires

    1979 Evinrude 140 Symtoms: 1. Takes full choke, full throttle to start. At least 5 tries for 10-15 secs each try. 2. When fires smokes like crazy (loaded) 3. All four plugs look the same when removed. wet and black...so, i dont think its a fuel issue. fresh fuel. 4. Motor starts easier...

    Need a quick pic of Merc 850 Steering Linkage

    This motor doesnt seem to turn all the way port or star. Current linkage (rack pinion?) is hitting motor clamp. Have looked everywhere....any help?

    1979 Merc 115 Steering Question

    Symtom: Motor will not turn as far as it should. I can see on the motor mounting (where the motor sits on transom) where the steering mechanism is hitting the mount and limiting how much the motor will turn. Anyone have a picture of what the correct arrangement for connecting the steering...

    Water in Lower Cylinder of 1979 3-cyl Merc 700

    Motor is 1979 70 hrs Merc O/B SN 4716507<br /><br />Lower plug is getting steam cleaned. I have confirmed compression, spark and fuel are good. Motor runs great even on only two cyl. much to my suprise. I have already replaced exhaust cover/baffle gaskets. motor doesnt have a head gasket...
