    Like Bondo I used an axle bearing puller with threaded rod as well. Harbour Freight has the pullers for $29.99.

    I believe your 50hp needs the pump that mounts in the boat and connects to the rams with 4 hoses. What's the serial numbers of the 2 motors?

    Does the 1989 70hp have the power trim pump that is external to the motor with 4 hoses? If so, it should work on the 1982. You'll have to look at both motors and see if the mounting points for the rams are in the same place.

    They just hang there. They will close if any backwash comes up the exhaust. They do not have to close tightly. 45586 is the part number

    The positive lug is the one that has the positive cable from the battery going to it.

    if you google "sealed power marine catalog" you can find most of the parts you need. A lot of the parts were used in other GM motors.

    You can run very low air pressure to it. That won't tell you how well it works though.

    Hook it up to the battery so the hour meter runs constantly. Disconnect it at the hours you want.

    The GM 5.0 and 5.7 (merc 260) are the same size. Whether there are other differences in years that would impact you I don't know

    The carbs on these need to be disassembled and put in carb cleaner overnight. All passageways need to be clear.

    Glad you got it going. Muffs might be hard to find for that, which is why I use a tub or barrel. Chances are the carb will need to be dismantled and cleaned.

    The spec for that condenser .24μF (microfarad) If you can find one close to that and get it to fit, it should work.
