    It would be best to post a picture in this thread. (use the 'Attach Files' button). I did not see an image over on Reddit. Free boats can be very expensive. It is hard to say what that line/tube is without seeing it. Sound like drive lube reservoir though . . . :unsure:

    Yes, the short amount of time seems rather quick. You got the drive shaft seal and prop shaft seal . . . Might be another. The pressure test will tell the story ( as mentioned, not much pressure is needed)

    Automatic in the sense that it has a float switch to turn the pump on as needed . . . Yes, most/all boats have them. What is the nature of your question?

    The thing about leaks is you have to look for them. Lots of places to look as have been described. Use your cell phone as needed to see where your eyes can't reach.

    Another of the millions of uses for duct tape. . . I usually mark the 90˚ points with a small piece of tape, so I can rotate the engine according to those marks. You just try to be as accurate as you can with placing the tape on the balancer/pulley.

    Coupler alignment

    Towards . . . You will also want to rotate the engine at 90˚ intervals to see if there is any difference. I usually try to get the sideways alignment dialed in before I do the up & down alignment. I never liked the way the I/O engines have their alignment set-up.
