    You see the stories of guys falling out of stands every year. It’s pretty easy to prevent. Just a couple simple safety devises is all you need. Full body harness come with all stands. Or buy your own quality lightweight one. I have lifelines on all my stands 40$, and also use a treestand...

    I imagine a crossbow might be in my future. But I’ll hang on to the compound as long as I can. I shoot off and on all year long. That seems to keep the strength and muscle memory going

    That thing sits in the woods on a property I hunt. Amazing how many rusted out hulks of cars and farm implements are sitting in the woods around here.

    Why I do not have new boats.

    Always seems to be good deals on very nice used boats if you look around. Why not save the cost difference verses new. Last brand new boat I bought was at least 20 years ago. Been through a pile of boats since then all used and none of them gave me much grief.
