    Deadrise

The deadrise in the transom of the SC boats is is what was changed in 1965 to what most were through to the recent models with some changes being made to the forward and bow deadrise. Pre-65 the transom deadrise wasn't there, it was a rounded flat bottom style. Islanders or Chiefs will have the...

    1966 Starcraft Holiday Engine Repower

On this 65 Holiday I worked on last month is a factory vent that is crazy, look at the rectangle vent above the drive on the transom, that's wide open with just the grate over it. A guy wouldn't want the coming off plane swell to over take you or strong following seas :faint2: Not everything...

Sealing plywood deck to aluminum hull? and more...

You might want to touch bases with a Mod before starting a new tread, having multiple threads on one boat while not against the rules seems to be frowned upon. I think it's all been cleared up now on what you're doing and this thread is fine. The clipboard icon in the upper right by the A works...

    Fuel tank venting question

Creating the loop could be a problem, this is the way I've done my vent lines so there isn't standing fuel in the line as with a 360 loop.

1973 starcraft ss restore in progress

Below is the bilge pump set up on my 18' SS. I don't have the bilge pump crazed mentality as some guys do since over the years it is THE least used item on my boats and only gets ran once before I leave to make sure it's operating correctly. The issue with going to a larger pump is the...

    !978 14' Seafarer restoration

I'm back at it with another Starcraft but this time a little tinny. I've been looking for a number of months to find a 14'r to use on the small lakes and ponds that are electric only where my 18' SS is just way too much boat. This 1978 14' Seafarer popped up locally with the original 1978...
