    On the St. Lawrence RIver between N Y and Canada. There has been no cruise ships on the river this summer. All large freighter traffic is almost none existent. WE normally have ocean and loads of Great Lakes freighters every day.

    Old 2 strokes are lasting forever compared to a modern 4 stroke with computer control. Modern 4 strokes by Yamaha still are using JUNK grades of recycled Aluminum for exhaust castings. NO way you can get around junk castings. Just keep begging a dealer for help.

    Evinrude 2 strokes with hand mixing of gas and oil at 100 to 1 ratios. I have a fantastic old Evinrude Mechanic. Mechanics keep a motor running. D I Y might.

    My old Evinrudes look like they have no breathing opening. They have gaps around the bottom of the cowling to keep water & spray out of engine parts.

    Mine are in sliding zipper food storage bags. Keeps dry and can operate all the buttons. I squeeze out excess air and slide it into my trouser pocket at house.
