Converting to Electric over Hydraulic this week

What year F150? Later models like my 2018 F150 that have a trailer module which only provide 12V when it sees a load like a battery. It was hit and miss if the EOH unit was receiving 12V and, even when it did, the voltage would drop down to the 9V region which meant the pump didn't put out full...

Converting to Electric over Hydraulic this week

I have installed EOH on two trailers, actually 3 if you count me moving my one boat system to my new boat trailer. I just added it to my travel trailer that had crappy electric drum brakes. I have the Titan on one and the Dexter on the other. I found I had to run a separate power line from the...

Can you guess how much I paid for all this?

Hopefully free or they paid you to haul it away.

Maybe my turn for new boat time

You have a picture of the isolator? On many boats with 3 batteries, people just put in a couple ACRs. Another BTW, have a friend that bought a Cobalt R4 and had to have his brand new boat's transom rebuilt. I probably won't be buying a new Cobalt after Malibu bought them.

Maybe my turn for new boat time

One thing I did with my Cobalt after I bought it is I emailed Cobalt for a wiring diagram and they emailed me one for my year and model. It's main usefulness is show where all the connectors are and how they are labeled. Nice thing about Cobalt is they wire every boat the same so every option...

    Anchor Rope

I had to cut my line on one that got caught in a submerged tree...hence the reason I needed to learn how to splice. I know exactly where it is in around 20' of water. Kinda deep to free dive to for me.

It's more for ease of grabbing than strength.

    Boat trailer brakes

Correct...no such things as electric discs. I own two trailers with EOH Disc brakes. Best system.

    Anchor Rope

3 strand is the easy one. I can do those in my sleep. True braided line is what's hard. This is what I use: https://www.sailrite.com/Splicing-Wand-Medium-Rope-5-16-1-2?gclid=Cj0KCQjw2v-gBhC1ARIsAOQdKY09cvgvOnODhDjnOnaCgbB00F_K3SjxNVNHn2uqastWr9hqEaz-EoIaAn-cEALw_wcB

    Anchor Rope

Agree...hate 3 strand. Had it on my last boat and swore to never buy it again. However, braided is MUCH harder to splice to put around a thimble.

    Anchor Rope

There are many types of rope that are made with polyester. Mine is a braided polyester and I assure you it doesn't float. Polyproline used for ski lines does float. When you say Poly, you are talking shorthand for many types of material. This is what I use...

UCLA ran out of gas. They really missed their 2 starters. That 11 minute drought hurt them at the end. Almost pulled it off anyway.

    Anchor Rope

I use 250' of 1/2 braided plus 25' of 1/4" chain for a 26' boat on Lake Tahoe. I use a Fortress anchor.

How often and how much grass did you mow when you were a kid. Did they make you use a push mower? Did you smoke grass? LOL...good grief!
