    First picture in post #28 depicts the proper setting for installing the drive to the bell housing With the remote in neutral and cables installed and adjusted properly the drive will be shifted into neutral as it is installed

    Probably a vst/fuel cooler assembly Never good when fuel leaks from anywhere. Maybe a bad oring/gasket?

    Probably You can jumper the up circuit at the pump/limit switch wiring connectors to troubleshoot Look for the purple and blue wires with female bullet connections, that is the place to jumper

    Metering blocks all appear to have cracks. It's witness marks from the casting If the metering block did indeed have a crack it's possible there are other issues with the carburetor body Chem dip should be used for 10-15 minutes, max You possibly destroyed the casting by leaving it too long

    That is something I do have fair witness of Certain components need oem replacement, others are okay aftermarket I can count on one hand the number of aftermarket shift cables I've seen work proper

    A dvm will help your troubleshooting immensely Starr at the battery and work your way through the system until the issue is known. Repair accordingly

    Maybe I'm just speculating here. I have no fair witness of your setup save for info you provide Something is definitely broken/out of spec adjustment Let's put a pin in this and rehash once the lower cable is replaced oem

    If it's a mercruiser of past 40 years vintage the wiring will have a trailer over ride switch installed oem No clue who/what has been done to your boat. I only know what I see and can diagnose based on experience Perhaps a picture or five will help here

    The trailer button ought to over ride the limit switch circuit if all is sound The wiring at the pump needs to be exact otherwise operation of the system will suffer performance issues
