    Ha ha , yeah me too...@ 63 I got a 32 year old and her 4 kids (3 boys 9,14 and 16 and a 12 yo girl ,the kids Father and Grandfather perished in a boating accident ) and as we never had kids it sure was (is) an eye opener.😁

    400 bucks for the axle, hubs ,stub and bearings sounds like the go , not a bad price and as jimmbo sez no issues with alignment .

    I guess it makes sense to wait for a re-power and do the job . These new automotive electric water pumps would make life easier in that you dont need to locate any extra pumps near an existing pulley system . I can handle thinking about outboards in salt water coz they are sorta made for it...

    salt water in single cylinder

    sounds like a blown head gasket .Symptoms being , water in only one pot , water in oil and no compression in that pot . Maybe head gasket #6 cylinder blown thru water jacket on intake side and into lifter valley or push rod hole .

    just been doing this as I have a Honda main engine ,and a 6hp Zuki aux , both 4 stroke . I have it set up so either motor can run off either tank ( both are totes with the same tank end fitting ) via their own supply hose . Now that I have this Tohatsu 2 stroke , which is never intended...

    Have you ever had to fit the kicker in rough conditions ? I dont even like the idea of trying to refuel a small motor let alone trying to attach it to a transom on the high seas .

    I travel with my aux motor down . I only take it off if Im worried someone will nick it . I do use it for trawling tho ..... goes for hours on a litre of fuel :)
