    Inconsistent performance 84' blackmax 150

Im thinking that your not always running on all cylinders (can be hard to tell sometimes ). I would check the spark plugs (remove and short to block to see if they are all sparking ), and drain float bowls to check for water.

    Good spray on weed killers.

Roundup here has glyphosate as the active ingredient and really only for grasses. The stuff is neutralised as soon as it hits dirt . I find it works well as directed but if you want something to keep the driveway clear I use Tag gen 2 . I figured if the dairy terrorists can use it and still...

    Lesson learned

Yes especially if you can get them on special. I live away from parts shops and having to stop a project because your missing a simple part is a pita . I have a bit of kit to make my own gaskets . If I have to buy a gasket I usually scan them and store the data , later I can put gasket paper...

Yeah ,I get that , split pin is for retaining nuts etc not for transfering torque . A cotter pin ,in this instance transfers the drive to the prop and is a solid pin , maybe brass with a plastic prop, but a lot more substantial than a split pin . Possibly someone ,for whatever reason has...

    Boat budget question

Gray area, if the consumables are exclusively for my projects ( they never are ๐Ÿ˜) but if ,even at a stretch , they could be used for house ( where she lives ) or her car then no ,they go against the general budget. My new dinghy went on the general budget ๐Ÿ˜

    telltale

Some outboards have another water inlet on the underside of the cav plate , mine does and if I dont tape over it it looses enough water to stop the muffs working . Water pressure here is set at 24 psi and at the end of the 20m hose I get 16 l/min ( had to check it for the waterblaster/pressure...
