    4 1/2 cylinders are not working well ? You have serious cylinder problems. Regular oil changes ? Non working hydraulic lifters ? Rocker arms failing ? Or... They did NOTHING. And charged you. They did not change the plugs ?? They are dirt bags.

    My concern is a inner plywood sheeting. Which stretches & shrinks all directions the same amount. Then laying down nice wood planks that shrink and expand in the same direction. Extreme heat or cold ? Fiberglas every time. I would sell it before it is damaged. Buy a all glass boat.

    A carport with a large sun roof is much better for any wood outdoors. What is a 5200 bottom made of ? That shed will destroy all wood.

    The first step is always setting the crankshaft to camshaft correctly. Or at least checking it accurately.

    Well now we are left with the motor block causing the cracking. What else is left to cause high temperature cracking ? Replace the engine !!

    It is relatively simple process IF you have the tools. Removing a MELTED hub is a very labor intensive process. I did 1. What a frustrating time. I did not realize I had taken almost a hour from start to finish to completely remove the torn and melted hub from both parts. I buy new now.

    To me it sounds like at WOT speed the water is reduced greatly there. It gets a super hot pocket. The motor slowing down finally causes the water to hit the casting spot causing a thermal shock crack. But only a different manufacturer of the manifold would ever prove something like that.
