    volume control

Re: volume control I did an excel spread sheet and plotted the percent difference between an 8 ohm L-pad driving 4 or 8 ohm speakers and it shows a dip in the center but the ends are pretty close. Looked at Sam's plot and it jives with his. Did you wire it correctly? It will do very strange...

    New Pontoon Cover

I promised that I would post some of the steps I did to make my pontoon cover so here goes. This is what the old cover looked like. I believe it is the Dowco cover that SunTracker charges over $800 for. Not impressed with the material or how it was constructed for that price. First thing to...

what is the knack in putting the stern drive back on?

Re: what is the knack in putting the stern drive back on? Of course the manual says otherwise! Step 17. Doing it in gear can bend the shift rod. There drives are already temperamental with their shift adjustments. Bending the vertical shift rod will do you no favors. Step #21 is...

Re: SOCHI Olympics anyone? Up in Big Bear we do. Going tomorrow! Of course it might be close to 70? so there may be some water skiing going on instead of snow skiing. This is 2 hours away from where I live(Los Angeles) at my GF's cabin. This was 2 weeks ago.

    pontoon cover

Re: pontoon cover The problem with adding snaps is that these covers extend a lot farther than where you really want it to snap on. You then have to shorten it and then sew reinforcing material where the snaps are going to go. I sew webbing and finish the edge with binding and then add my snaps.

questions about covers and bimini tops fabrics

Re: questions about covers and bimini tops fabrics I used Sunbrella binding, bias cut so it is easier to go around bends although I didn't really have too many tight bends on this cover. I just used polyester V92 thread. I didn't have my SolarFix thread yet. Sunbrella beige 60" I use 1". This...

questions about covers and bimini tops fabrics

Re: questions about covers and bimini tops fabrics Here is the cover I just finished(well 99% finished). Will be taking a better picture soon with no shadows in it. First pontoon cover I have ever done. Was going to be over $1200 if I had it done. I spent around $500 in materials. Have some...

how to check the windings on a three phase motor?

Re: how to check the windings on a three phase motor? Does it actually say 3 phase on the pump? You sure this isn't just a 3 wire pump? Not 3 phase? Red,black and yellow go to a motor control, green is ground for a 3 wire pump. Have a picture of the pump's label? This is typical for the...

So what does everyone have? Prefer one that mounts to the square railing. I am thinking about this one with a rail mount of some kind: Dickinson Sea-B-Que Propane, Small | Seabound Supply Maybe this one too: http://www.seaboundsupply.com/camco-58130-kuuma-stow-go-160-grill.html

Anyone have these wireless Sonos speakers? I heard Leo Laporte talk about them on his radio show today. They sound pretty like they are pretty awesome...and pricey! They basically are able to play music through your wireless internet. Amazon.com: Sonos: Electronics

AC Charger with BlueSea ACR hookup ?

Re: AC Charger with BlueSea ACR hookup ? I modified a Blue Sea Diagram showing the different connection I am proposing in yellow. Instead of connecting the ACR to the battery terminals, connect to the switch as shown. You would charge your batteries with your 120VAC Dual charger with the...

    Bunk Setup

Re: Bunk Setup You should think about side guides. Not the silly poles on the back either. Guides that extend from the stern to forward of the fender. That's what I have on mine.

    Boat Cover Vents

I am going to be sewing up a new boat cover for my "new to me" pontoon boat and have been investigating ways to support the cover with poles. These vents looked intriguing to me as not only do they vent but they look like they will help support the pole/cover better than just a pole with a...
