    105 is just fine. Don't do it. The Yam system is very very very reliable. Did I mention that it is reliable. It works on gravity. Gravity has never failed me yet. It is more than a suggestion. It is the law.

    One idle mixture screw per carburetor. Two per carburetor pair. There could very well be a plug that has to be removed to gain access to the mixture screws.

    Negative on the computer controlling the idle speed of an HPDI model. The throttle valves are all mechanical. There is no idle air control valve.

    How old is the primer bulb? It might be too old to properly hold its shape. If new, it could be defective.

    If you have verified that the choke linkage is moving freely and clearly and is not part of the problem, and if you can push the linkage that the ram should be pushing on, and it comes out of a fast idle, then it might appear that the ram is unable to do its intended job...

    Everything that I am seeing leads me to believe that motor was made by Yamaha for Mercury. Do you agree or disagree? I am basing my comments on what I see from Yamaha data.

    There might be two electrical connectors between the R/R and the Ram. I would make sure there is nil voltage drop across those connectors.

    The choke solenoid and the electrothermal ram both share the same ground on the block. Don't forget to inspect/test the wiring. All the power in the world is no good if the ground is no good.

    If you are seeing 13.5 volts at the battery with the motor running then the rectifier/regulator is doing its job. What is the complete engine ID?

    Back in the day we put one quart of 30 weight motor oil into a six gallon tank. Filled up the tank. Mercury tower or power. 80 HP. Biggest motor they made at the time. No power trim. No gear shift. Start the motor in forward and off you went. Same for reverse. Best be heading the general...
