    there are check valves in the fuel pump, but they just keep gas from flowing back out of the motor not to the motor. so yes fuel will flow out of the tank thru the pump if pressure builds up in the tank

    there should be a trap and drain line on the bottom of the oil tank that water would collect in ,if you want to drain just some oil out to see if any water was in the bottom

    there should be a manual release screw on the T&T unit, hole thru the bracket to get to the screw would be my guess if that big motor is like my 40hp. but I do not know how you can do any manual lifting with boat sitting in the water

    test light lighting up does not mean there is a good enough connection to run a T&T motor or turn the starter. use a voltmeter to measure on the battery posts them self, and then on the cables(both ends of pos and neg) while you hit the T&T switch key switch does not affect T&T operation

    how many T&T switches do you have? friend has had his dog lay down on the bow and operate the T&T several times while I have been in his boat . you can always disconnect on switch at a time to see if the problem goes away

    why worry about that. check to see if it is stuck open I just reread your other post, I have no idea how air would be coming out of the pisser, maybe it is exhaust gases from a blown head gasket letting exhaust into the cooling passages
