    Random

Wound up in Cookeville tonight for a while (at my in-laws), what came through there was pretty sporty, but not the worse I've seen. As I drove home headed southwest, there was a lot of scattered debris. Didn't see any significant damage, emergency crews or downed trees.

    Vista 275

Welcome aboard: Impeller is in good shape, but have you confirmed you're getting water flow up in the engine? (perhaps there's a blockage) Also, have you checked the thermostat?

What is this on the transom?

Most people (I think) put a hole above the waterline and bring the cable in through that hole. I opted to just bring mine up and over the gunwale and run it behind one of the stern jump seats. In my case, it's hidden pretty well, doesn't get in the way and I didn't have to drill any holes in the...

Listened to a lot of their stuff. Fun bunch. The three times I've been to the Grand Ole' Opry the Riders in the Sky have played: Fun music and seem to be great fellows.

    daily music fix

I do better with older country, even back to old cowboy music. But living in Nashville, you kinda' can't help but like it a little bit: catchin' the famous folk playing live around town you gain a new appreciation for them as musicians. Loretta had a ranch / resort out west of Nashville, and...

    daily music fix

Lost one of the greats yesterday: I wasn't a huge fan of her music, but she's got a great reputation as a fine human being.

What is this on the transom?

I used a Stern Saver for mine. You can Google it, iBoats doesn't sell it. It's a small block that you adhere to the hull and then mount to that block. I decided I didn't want to put holes in my hull, so I used that.

What is this on the transom?

Welcome aboard: The photo is small and really dark, so I'm not completely sure but I think you're referencing the pitot for the speedometer. Looks kinda' like a plastic "fin" with a tube running out of it?

    Ian Destruction

Ooof. I've been through the rubble of tornado and flood damage; but it's not quite as widespread as that ... seems so overwhelming from someone not in it.

Leaving Tampa, Osprey, Fort Myers ? ?

@BWR1953 somehow I missed you were in that area all this time. I love hearing the experienced Floridians: "it's just a 3 and it's veering off a little north of us ..." o_O I'd be shaking in my boots.

Just thought I'd share a nice photo.

Not a particularly great photo, but kinda' the best I could grab. I got to visit the H.L. Hunley over the weekend. Very cool place and neat to see a 150 submarine.

    Bayliner engine cover, help!!

If you just need the vinyl, then as Brian says above: upholstery shop. If you need the entire doghouse, then you're probably going to have to go one of a couple routes: you can look on ebay and see if anyone has one up for sale. You'll likely then have to replace vinyl. The other option is to...

    Help with Boat Info

Do some lookin' HERE. He did a pretty good job of collecting some work on all of the "fin" boats from the US. A vintage fiberglass kinda' gallery: whatever it is it's late 50s or early 60s. I'd bet it to be American mainly because I think the fins were a US "thing," weren't' they? Welcome aboard.

    Anchor stuck for 2nd time

I lost two this year. WAY early I had what's called a river anchor (been using it for about 10 years) get hung in 60'. Couldn't get it back. Switched a danforth and lost it just a few weeks ago - same thing about 40' got hung up and couldn't it released either. - I'm with ya' AD ... Never say never.
