It’s to new for me to know anything about it but I have heard about these flushing ports.
I would be more comfortable with flushing from the lower. I rarely use muffs I have a big trash can with a ball valve mounted in the bottom to easily drain it. I can run as long as I want with no worries...
Correct. It has a displacement hull or could even be considered semi displacement at best. They are intended to carry more weight and be a bit more stable going to and from land and your big boat.
That type of hull has very little lift so getting it on a place is not easy.
What a way go!
Maybe it’s just me but I would have some concerns about all the heat that went into that shaft. I hope everything works out for you.
Best wishes.
Maybe the previous owner had the flywheel off and didn’t torque it down or lost the key and made a new one form something laying around. Or maybe it just happened as it does happen.

It always hurts just a little when a 72 is considered old😂
It does sound like possibly a weak spark event.
You’re in good hands with Racer and you will get results.

Running on muffs is not ideal IMO for testing.
In the water or a barrel would be better.
If this happened while you were trolling any chance you had a lot of weed in the water that day? May have been a restricted inlet screen.
We have them to some degree every year but haven’t had a mass swarm since 08. I hear next year is going to be the next big swarm. I still remember driving down the road and suddenly going through a massive cloud of them. It was crazy.
I’m not to sure about that. Common sense is not all common anymore. I have seen some crazy ways people mix gas and oil. Even after reading the instructions.
Sometimes my finger do things on the key pad that I don’t want them to and somehow I end up ignoring a member. I have no clue how it happens an it drives me nuts. Does anyone know how to reverse this feature?
Thanks
