    Are those pressure treated bunks? re: the picture in post #27 I'd replace the bunks with a wider, non-pressure treated 2x6 and adjust as needed.     Google "joggle stick method" if you need to template some of your deck boards. I used it to do a casting deck and the process came out pretty close to perfect. Might not need it for some of the more subtle curves, but it works well when you're dealing with the bow and such.

    The on/off switch is all you need. Wire the float switch direct to the battery as indicated and spliced in with your on/off for manual operation. The float switch is your auto. Even with the toggle in the off position, the float switch will complete the circuit and activate the pump if needed.

    I did a pretty basic dash layout and off the shelf switch panel for my SS. Used sight and sound as my trim gauge and gps speed from the fish finder. I also just ran my side panels straight and added some speakers.

    For a transom? I've seen it done by others, but considering the number of years the factory unsealed wood lasted, a properly sealed wood replacement will likely outlive the useable life of the boat at a much more attractive price point.

    For peace of mind, I'd source my own wood for the transom replacement unless you could confidently identify it as good marine ply. The last thing you want is a piece of treated ply inside your aluminum boat, especially in areas like your transom.

    Doesn't look like a BIA bolt pattern to me:) I think he's asking for a template for the actual transom itself, not the bolt pattern for the outboard mounting.

    With the old transom out, you should be able to use a large piece of cardboard or some 1/4" ply to mock up a template. Lay it up against the outside of the transom and line it up with the rivets for the transom pocket. Trace out the side angles of the hull and take a little off to accommodate...

    What are you covering the deck with? I had the bumps as well, but laid the Nautolex down right over it. Might want to just test an area with whatever deck covering you plan to use and see if its even noticeable under foot.
