I once took a ride in a 19’ modified Glen -L design with a 235 on it. We topped out at 104 in the off shore grand pre amateur division and brought home 1st place. It was like riding on a pice of cardboard with a motor on it.

Looks can be deceiving!
If your not sure of the impellers age it’s best to replace it. They get brittle over time.
It’s a small price to pay for peace of mind.
With out that in place be aware of any hard reverse throttle or maybe even slowing down to quickly. I guess you could use the manual lock if you have one but I never lock mine Incase I should hit something
To check for water in the fuel disconnect the fuel line and pump some fuel into a glass jar with the bulb.
Let it settle out for a few minutes. If there is water you will see it in the bottom of the jar.
