    There was no 10 HP in 64, that was the yr the 9 1/2 was introduced. Your 10 was made between 1951 and 1963

    When You do the Compression Test, unless you are using the Electric Starter, you will have to disable the Compression Relief Mechanism If you mean Generic Brands of Marine Gear Oil, you should be Okay. However I wouldn't recommend Auto Gear Oil.

    That is wonderful, but in reality tells me Squat... Yr of Engine WOT Rpm range of that Engine What WOT Rpm you are currently getting Make and and Model of the Current Prop are some of the Info that is REQUIRED, before any Objective and Accurate Propping Advice can be given.

    Can the Spark jump a 3/8" Gap on both Cylinder? Have you ever disconnect one of the Plugs and see how the engine runs under Load, then tried it with the other unhooked? Is there any signs of Oil-Fuel running down from the top of the Block? Is the Carb opening Fully? How long have you owned this...

    As long as the Boat isn't underpowered for its Weight, and Load, you should be fine. Edit: Is your engine a 2 Stroke or a 4 Stroke?

    Perhaps a very thick layer of Varnish in that Tank/Fuel Line, to be able to overpower the Blue Dye in the Oil. While Lacquer Thinner is good at dissolving Gum and Varnish, it might reck havoc on the O-rings located in the Tank Disconnect, so some Caution, maybe removal of the Pickup-Float-Gauge...

    Years ago there was a Launch at that Rock Canal near Sundance, but about 20 yrs ago, they blocked Canal up. Did they reopen it? Edit: Looking at Google, it is the same One. And I see the Parking Area. I will have to check it out. Keep this on the QT, or else it will be overloaded

    You did, until I started my Motor... I haven't been out since 2021. The Town Really Effed up the Launch Site, and the Park is now even Worse. Docks are almost Non-Existent. My poor Buick was Sideswiped Last Year, and I haven't moved the Hitch to the Caddy

    When I switched to the SS I dropped 1" in pitch from the Stock AL Prop. What occurred I had my SS(OMC RAKER) from my previous Outboard on hand, so I had the Hub replaced so it would fit on a VP. I later replaced it with a Merc Enertia. Both props run about the same rpm as the VP AL prop did...
