    under normal conditions it should , however ,not if there is an air leak in the lower part of the engine , it will not suck air @ idle. hence my reason for asking .

    unfortunately the motor needs to come out so as it can be turned on its side for good access to the broken bolt . i have seen some hack jobs where people have tried to get the leftover out in boats and cars , its never pretty !.
