    The retaining plate/bracket in question is "Aft" of the trim switch or lower in the pic.The pic is prior to my changing out the switch.The switch and switch bracket is in the top of the pic.

    Just replaced the trim switch.There is a retaining plate with a thin rod aft of the switch.What is being retained?? The trim switch is routed under that retainer and rod.I would need to remove the retainer plate to get the old switch out of there and to route the new switch wires.I already...

    Lol,I have the opposite.Salt water and Im floating from mid May until Nov 1st. Barnacles and little crustacea like to grow in the creases of the bellows so I try to get grease into every crease to deter the growth and help preserve the rubber. Charlie

    Threads were super clean but I brushed them up anyway. Dont have a tap so running my gun brush in and out the casting and will put it on a drill .I will get it cleaned up good before reassemble. Charlie
