    Agree sort of with mechanical will last, but no so sure about the amount of time. Many like to change to electric so the fuel bowl fills up faster if its dry. They still use mechanical pumps on high performance motors built today The easy fix without a relay

    Worst comes to worst the stud could be made. The part is still used on new transom assemblies but might need for production. Local machine shop should be able to make The arrestor, unless your restoring and need for authentic then get an after market or any that will fit.

    If your Rinker is like mine, the vent is part of the gas cap. Mine also snaps down to latch. If your sure the line is blown out, then look closer at the cap. If all else fails and your not in rough water, unlatch the cap and let is lay closed This is assuming your issues are motor starts...

    The 1989 model year could have points or DDIS ignition. Not being able to see inside your distributor my guess is the prior owner changed it to something else. Post a pic of the distributor and see if there is a ignition module on the exhaust elbow Your your should have timing set at 4* BTDC
