    With the Bats testing good, then there is an alternator problem. Once motor goes up to 1200 rpm the first time you should see around 14.5 volts. The most I saw was 13 something Put a voltmeter on the battery's and if your seeing the same voltage then its in the charging circuit

    O don't see an issue with adding a shim so long as the bolts go in far enough to hold. Can the pulley on the ALT be moved in/out to align?
