Mercruiser 260 350v8 choke spring? Different clocked positions

I wouldn't worry about which one to use because the choke rod is how it's adjusted. Use a center punch and make sure it's dead center, drill slow and you bit should be smaller than threads. This way you might be able to re-tap it. Use heat to help drilling. Best method is remove the manifold...

Twin Merc 250 fuel burn difference's

This is my Crapperal twin 250's and the FMS was replaced on starboard because it was burning more fuel than the port. For a couple months all was good, both tracked fairly even. Then the port started burning more fuel than the starboard, not a lot mostly 0.2 GPH on average above 2K to 4K RPM...

    AD41P Ignition staying on

Correct As for the gauges turning on it could be the ignition switch. Measure voltage at the Blue/Red wire on the ignition switch. Actually looking a bit more at the diagram the switch also powers up the circuit board

Engine wouldn't fire without throttle after overnight

There is an issue with the fuel system, just not totally sure that is causing the intermittent start issue. Fuel pressure should be 38 to 42 with key ON, and being around 38 is not an issue at idle. What is the battery voltage prior to start and what is it during cranking?

    AD41P Ignition staying on

VP makes some of the worst diagrams for diesels and are hard to read Item 9 is the alarm and power comes from item 4 (printed circuit card). If you trace the voltages going to the alarm back thru the board you might find one of the diodes might have shorted. A diode flows current in one...

    outdrive Vs Coupler

Welcome Was the drive full of gear lube when you pulled the top cap? If not that would be the reason Look into SEI drives, and I would suggest a full new one. Complete drive is just under $2K. Just need to know which gear ratio https://www.sterndrive.cc/Alpha-One-Gen-II.html

Hope all turns out good. Many Men have a problem of not drinking enough water (liquids) and dehydration can cause similar things without the fluid on the brain. If he hit his head going down might be what caused it
