    2006 5.7L Mag Overheating

The black fitting on the red water hose is a quick disconnect coupler… it does need to be seated correctly as there is an O-ring in there and the pin needs to be holding it shut correctly which it looks like it may be… that mentioned the hose AD was mentioning is on the outside of the boat...

2016 Mercruiser 6.2L ECT DTS Axius Cooling System Issue

More so need to go by the manual vs a parts guide as parts catalog is usually found off in its routings and then since your manual was made in 2017 vs the linked 2015, it would be worth seeing if they are the same or not and if different then the later one (17) is the up to date one mostly...

If you haven't seen it yet, i found your service manual and it shows the water flow and suggests the strainer (F) I mentioned earlier is for the fuel module... The link will start at the beginning that covers both standard and closed cooling but you got to scroll through them to see the...

Hose picks to get it loosened up then spray either silicone spray or the like to get it sliding easier. Mercury powertune is a good go too to get them sliding as well. 858080K03

Yes they both share the same part number and where used description. (Mercruiser 8M0138839 Inner Transom Plate Inner Bravo and Alpha superseded from 8M0114816 Plate Assembly Transom) Though probably not significant changes for what you're doing 'bear in mind that they do mention in the notes...

2016 Mercruiser 6.2L ECT DTS Axius Cooling System Issue

Looking over your parts catalog I located an engine oil cooler like Dubs mentioned in 2023 which is item number 37 below, (and may had gotten confused with the power steering cooler which is usually open flow on the inside), https://www.mercruiserparts.com/bam/subassemblydetail/49503533/28372678...

    Water temp gauge

Did you physically touch the engine to feel if the engine came up to temp? Your best bet to test the actual temp is to get yourself an affordable Infrared Laser Thermometer gun and point it all around the engine to see what the temperature really is...You can find these temp gun readers just...

Mercruiser 7.4 Suspected Vapor Lock (VL)

No, pretty much the main reason Mercruiser routes the return line to the VST or fuel filter housing is convenience to keep the engine as independent from boat components. as much as possible to run on its own since a boat builder is separate from an engine manufacturer. One less component to...

    08 350Mag/B3 eng low voltage

Was the no start condition present while the boat was at the boat service shop? Is your boat digital throttle and shift that uses a push button vs a key switch? If yes, then you probably have a clean power wire / harness that connects to the battery directly and has a fuse that might be...

    Water temp gauge

Make sure the engine is actually getting up to full operational temperature of your thermostat temp range… if the thermostat is stuck open, the engine may not reach temp and won’t move the gauge up making you think something else is wrong.

Mercruiser 5.7 MAG MPI Water Pressure Sensor & Oil Pressure Sensor Interchange/Alternatives + 4 in 1 gauge not showing speed and oil pressure

Confusing as this may be, you'd have to check and see if the pitot pressure sensor is actually present on the boat and connected to the wiring harness which is usually towards the stern of the boat inside.... If the pitot pressure sensor is not connected then you would normally see a fault code...
