    Hey Newbies

What's worse than any noob scavenging info as easy as they can are the so called experienced guys who've the been there done that types who give out really bad information. Normally that info is a short cut with bad materials. For instance, a question about motorwell transom drain tubes. I...

    68 Starchief - Wiring Diagram

Welcome aboard, Always best to include any info you have on the motor / drive (serial #s) to get proper information in return. Over the decades motors get replaced so guessing that it's the original 2.5L Mercruiser 120 could be wrong. The Mercruiser section here has lots of knowledge but in...

    1980 Holiday 181

Yeah the rats nest of wiring is a tough one to tame, I used lots of loom and zip ties to keep it as managed as possible.

    1976 Starcraft Chieftain 18' OB - restomod

Having used both epoxy sealers I can say that the slightly thicker Coat-it did NOT completely seal the keel section of the Seafarer. I can only surmise that it just wasn't thin enough to get down in the narrow gaps. It did work well on the seams because of the lip allowing it to fill in the seam...

Yea I've had some runaway accidents with power tools, as long as it's not needing a trip to the clinic for stiches, it's all good. I still have a good sized collection of solid and blind rivets as well. Never can have too many and solids are not nearly as expensive.

That sanding is my worst nightmare. for some reason it's nothing but dread for me. Ahh to be young and able to sit like him and run a power tool without the hands becoming numb. Moving forward, the clean up and repairs always take the longest, looking good!

With that much of a load then a 15p replacement would be a good choice.

    1972 Starcraft Nova

Looks like your winching the boat too far on the trailer, that last roller is not even under the hull. The roller support rod does look bent and could stand to be bent back. This is how the winch tower is set up on my SS trailer. The original trailer was an Ez-Loader roller trailer and the Y...

Ah yeah the aroma of corrosion as it hits the air, sorta like a combination of dirty gym socks and stinky cheese. :sneaky:

They may have some used in good shape props that you could buy at a reduced rate and return for a different one if that one doesn't work out. My guess with a light Holly 18', a 75 HP motor that a 17p x 13-1/4"d aluminum 3 blade would hit the mark. Most likely they'll want to sell you the most...

    '67 Holiday 18' - Make it Usable

Propping a boat is almost a science. To give any kind of accurate advice on a prop a few things are needed. Motor Current prop pitch and diameter. WOT RPMs and speed. I know the 75 HP is new to the boat so that's up in the air I'd assume. So give what info you have and we can help you guess...

    1976 Starcraft Chieftain 18' OB - restomod

Just add up the layers and then allow for a proper bucktail for the solids. I can't remember right now the exact amount needed but .125 min is ringing a bell for a proper bucktail. Personally I would only do a .080 outside patch rather than adding thinner inside and outside, especially if your...
