    I would not have put dielectric grease between the crimp terminals and the wire. crimp them dry, then use epoxy lined heat shrink. I use both dielectric grease and marine electrical varnish.

    your boating in a high mineral area. the minerals on the prop shaft and the slight bit of minerals and transfer aluminum corrosion on the thrust washer. you should see a few corrosion pimples under the back side of the prop wire brush it, paint it, use prop grease on the shaft and go boating.

    check fuel pressure. you could have a leaking injector that is filling the intake manifold with fuel. the excessive fuel would be cleared by having the throttle open.
