Gas Pressure washer "turn off" instructions incorrect??

Not my first choice but Walmart and other stores sell canned “small engine” E0 unleaded gasoline for about $10 a gallon.

Gas Pressure washer "turn off" instructions incorrect??

No one has an airport or marina within a 2 hour drive? Some airports have 100% unleaded gas now. Leaded aviation fuel is not an option for any engine with catalytic converters or O2 sensors but lasts for years. I can also see lead as a possible problem for spark arresters. E0 convenient here...

Latest new car racket to cause you to by a car.

I fought several vehicle fires over the years. Magnesium cannot be extinguished. It’s possible for lithium batteries to ignite or reignite days after an incident. I have seen burning gasoline flow into a ditch, sometimes carried by water, and cause additional problems but no explosions unless...

Latest new car racket to cause you to by a car.

Back to the original topic. Boats are no different. There are manufacturers out there that will not talk to you about something they built more than 5 years ago. I needed a ski tow, a gate and a swim ladder for a 12 year old pontoon boat and all they had to say was “sorry, can’t help you”. I...

Latest new car racket to cause you to by a car.

A bad storm can knock out power for a week or so for many so I guess they just get to be stranded if they can’t charge before they lose the ability to do so. If we go electric on everything, what will we use to clean up and repair damage with? There are other concerns. I just checked on battery...

I’m not up on the newer engine names but a hurricane engine to me is a Willys product from the fifties.

Latest new car racket to cause you to by a car.

Electric vehicles will become interesting to me the day they can haul a load 350-400 miles on a charge and do it again after a 5 minute break.

    2 vent plugs?

That’s not the diagram I found. I didn’t have the serial number to give to Yamaha so they were zero help. It’s interesting that the middle plug is different.

I’ve been kicking around the idea of replacing my 20 year old F150. I find it amazing what that are getting for horse power and torque out of the little engines they sell now. Both of the ecoboost V6 motors out perform my V8. I do think a lot of the standard systems included in an XL for...

    2 vent plugs?

I searched online and found what you are seeing in your manual. All diagrams and instructions for servicing show 2 plugs. I didn’t see a middle plug in the parts diagram I looked at either. I didn’t think to look for flushing instructions. Could it be an aftermarket case?

I think I said that. Pre-ignition = detonation. My point is 86 octane produces the same BTUs as 100 octane. Gasoline mixed with alcohol does produce less energy.

Yes but a second ignition module and coil would take care of that. Very few places where coil over spark plugs systems would fit. The thing about the magnetos is they are a self contained electrical system. If the aircraft electrical system or one magneto fails it’s no big deal. The electronic...

Gasoline is gasoline. Not any real difference in energy produced if using the same amount of 86 octane and 100 octane (please research BEFORE telling me how wrong I am). Higher octane is more stable to help with detonation and as a result allows the use of more fuel which creates more power and...

Aircraft have simple systems because they don’t screw up very often. I have an electronic magneto on one of mine. It’s a lot better than the standard fixed timing magnetos of old. It’s possible to get too modern. Some of the sensors do not play well with leaded fuel and some components do not...

    2 vent plugs?

I looked at the picture wrong. I was thinking the plug above the cav plate is the top plug and missed the hole in the bottom so I am looking at 4 plugs instead of 3. What is the plug above the cav plate for? I would find an owner’s manual or shop manual and see what the procedure is. A lot of...

It shouldn’t be legal for manufacturers to force subscriptions to access ECMs. Too many people cannot afford shop rate labor, new vehicles every few years nor the subscriptions just to maintain their daily driver or even a toy. The good life shouldn’t be restricted to the wealthy only.

I have observed the opposite with people and scanners. They think the scanner tells them exactly what is wrong and if it can’t they will swap sensors and computers before doing anything to actually troubleshoot. I know of a dealership that tried to charge a guy $5000 for 2 computers and various...

    2 vent plugs?

Suzuki has that arrangement on one of their motors. Their book says pull all 3 and fill to the middle one. Let sit 15(?) minutes and top off to the middle one and install the plugs. The Volvo SX-A drive isn’t much different. Fill to the vent plug, install plug and fill to the level marked on the...

I previously stated that I run mine dimmed down. There are a lot of people who don’t. You can see all the details of them and the interior of their vehicles when they drive by. They have no clue as to why the dark seems so… dark.
