    I think the outside race because I have applied the cap. and the drive should be inside the cap. Did I do right? I know I should hit the outer race or it will be damaged.

    Done. I made a hole in a stick and let the stick do the alignment tools job. Also the stick helped me to pull the gimbal bearing out. It is easier to make a hole in wood than metal. Is the gimbal bearing right place? I found there is still a lot of space after the gimbal bearling.
