    I think I have all the replacement part needed on hand now so I went ahead and prepped primed and painted it . Clear coated it late this afternoon . This pic is just the color coat no clear .

    Ok , I’ll clean and reinspect bearings . Any thoughts on the shiftshaft question ? Are there anything I need to lookout for should I dig into it ? Just apprehensive on screwing something up by mistake ..

    Got the shaft and housing out finally. Should I go ahead and replace the DS bearings while it’s open . I also have a question on the shift shaft assembly . Debating on digging into that while it’s opened up . I have seen videos of the shaft turning freely . I can not turn it by hand . Is this...

    That tab washer is in the way of getting a wrench in the bolt on bottom of DS . Am I supposed to just bend it down out of the way ?
