Yeah Im thinkin that if I can get a new prop for the same money as 6 beers at the diner I might be doing a bit more exploring of the river , which is mostly deep enough from my house to the sea ( about 10km as the crow flies ) and its gravel with no real rocks . I dont mind doing a bit of...

I bought a Solaris ( or something similar spelling ) for my M18 Tohatsu . I was looking for a budget do the job rather than some flash harry thing , and I had to guess at the pitch . . Sure looks ok and was 1/3 the cost of OEM

    Nobody fishing?

Things have changed here ,we used to troll around the edges of the lake specially round streams and rivers flowing into the lake . Now peeps are using fishfinders to locate trout and then jigging for them down deep. Lake Hauroko (my closest Lake ) is 462m deep not that anyone jiggs that deep...

    salt water in single cylinder

I guess it makes sense to wait for a re-power and do the job . These new automotive electric water pumps would make life easier in that you dont need to locate any extra pumps near an existing pulley system . I can handle thinking about outboards in salt water coz they are sorta made for it...

    salt water in single cylinder

I gotta admit I am stunned that so many peeps are happy to pump salt water thru their engine, I know outboards are stuck with that but they are easily flushed. Why dont peeps use heat exchangers and run proper coolant in the engine and maybe use the salt water from after the heat exchanger to...
