    Check for battery voltage at the alt output post, if none check the starter for a whitish, square plastic block. A fuse link the is most likely bad. Can test with a wire from the + battery to the Red/purple at the slave. This should liven up the gauges and allow the key to operate the starter

    When the shift shaft is pointed straight forward, the drive is in "forward". however, I cannot get it to do anything other than that with the cable. I will pull the drive in the morning to ensure I have forward and reverse in the drive. that will at least tell me what side of the system the...

    It appears you broke the solenoid trying to remove the battery cable take it apart, clean everything crimp on 2 new ring connectors ,yellow/red to the inboard small post, purple to the outermost small post, generic nut that fits the main starter post

    Nope, look it up in the SM. Maybe on the newer rams but the older style go in the ends of the rams also Just saw the video, your ram is different then the job I just did .

    Check the hub for cracks, can also use a thin wall rubber sleeve over the hub and bearing buddy and a hose clamp on each side

    From the drive to the pump = suction side from the pump to the THERMOSTAT HOUSING =pressure side Remove the thermostst housing and remove and rubber pieces Make sure you have the hoses at the pump connected correctly = inlet to inlet

    Is the ring gear in the same position? Some flywheels will accept ring gears on either side if the flywheel. Some flywheels will even fit reversed on the crankshaft too

    a 7.4 does not go with a GEN II drive. Inspect the pump threads, there most like inverted flare and do not accept regular threaded fittings post a pic of the old pump and of the hose ends

    Some have used a small bottle jack against the harmonic balancer to lift the engine enough to loosen the nuts downward, then use the jack to raise or lower the engine , then adjust the nuts to match. The Volvo or Merc one should work or a very lightly used inputshaft from a drive .

    Imperller is totally wasted, and the pump base is also damaged from overheating. If the video is of you on a hose the high rpm destroyed the impeller. On a hose your limited to about 1500 rpm max or impeller gets destroyed
