    Boats from work.

I'm pretty sure they don't get shorter, otherwise they wouldn't be sticking out of a holder or screwdriver very much. Anyway, the screw head was against the metal above it while the self tapping part was still in the glass. It doesn't matter how short the bit is if the screw is already too long.

No, that's my bit. Sorry, I meant how did they get that screw in when just the bit doesn't even fit. I grabbed the other end with vice grips to spin it out, but even the screw is taller than the space. I had to take the bolts out and tilt the whole thing forward to pull the scree.

    Transom saver or no?

Transom repair costs more than a transom saver.

Nope, I think last time was their own jeep on the back fishtailed. Not sure though. That's actually a really old cusion that was made for a boat, but the customer didn't want it. I think there used to be 2, around way longer than me. Snap On is really skimpy on the padding.

I'm off the starcraft again, need to get a big camper fixed. Apparently, there was another one parked in front of him at the lot and the wife didn't know that the Jeep was in neutral while being towed. She unhooked it and it rolled back into this one. I'm 2 days into peeling off the stupid...

I forgot to take a pic of the Cobalt last night, so here it is all sanded and buffed.

    1995 Crownline 202BR Restore

I don't know how tight the tolerance is for those openings, inboards are removed before we get them. Just keep the extra material in mind for fitment.

    1995 Crownline 202BR Restore

The csm will actually help keep the resin on the surface and give a better water barrier. Even on the flat part of a sheet, the wood can absorb quite a bit, which will actually reduce the barrier quality. The cut out is pretty much all end grain, which is even worse, so I think the csm would be...

    1995 Crownline 202BR Restore

So glass in the outdrive cut out? I think it's a bit unusual, but certainly wouldn't hurt. Usually they're just covered with gel coat when the inside is done.

On your aluminum boat? We laminate 2 sheets of ply together with a layer of csm between and resin the whole thing.

    Radar tower removal.

The wakeboard ones I've worked on usually have those plugs. There was one on a Malibu that didn't, and yhe supervisor had to take the speakers apart to get the wiring out. Monster towers suck though, cheap crap.

    Radar tower removal.

Is it not done with sealed plugs hanging under the mounting plates? I suppose antennas are usually a solid wire to the radio. As far as I know, the tower is intended to be shipped somewhere else. I guess it's being sold.

Sorry, no pics. I won't have any more info until I see it, if the customer agrees to the price. Hopefully I'll find out tomorrow.

    Radar tower removal.

So a marina owner called my boss for some extra hands. He has a guy that needs a radar tower removed. All I know about the boat is that it is a large twin engine Crestliner that had been on an ocean. The plan is to do this Saturday if he gets approval for the estimate. I've taken off wakeboard...

    Random

Too obvious. Stash it somewhere only you would look. Trunk of a project car or with the grease guns or something.

Sorry I haven't been keeping up with this. I've had other stuff on my mind, and have been forgetting to take pictures. Anyway, events so far. After vacation, I did some spot work on an old ranger. Nothing exciting, so I didn't bother with pics. The only thing interesting is that somehow the...
