Albemarle 24 - EFI maps and fuel return

A spark plugs anti fouler from the parts store drilled out does the same thing.

Albemarle 24 - EFI maps and fuel return

Right, because it runs in open loop. Getting a sensor to live long enough might be a challange..

Albemarle 24 - EFI maps and fuel return

The spacer block ( you can drill a spark plug anti fouler fwiw ) will help the oxygen sensor live, but it's also going to skew the reading into being leaner than it should be . Your talking about sensors that are north of $50 being wide band

Albemarle 24 - EFI maps and fuel return

Keep in mind that the Holley Sniper IS USCG rated, but also that a wide band oxygen sensor needed for self learning will not survive.. Holley's software will have a tune close enough to make it run, but you will never dial it in

    35 hp Evinrude

Quick and dirty way, you need a starter with a solenoid, a bracket and a push button starter switch. The flywheel needs the teeth, but I don't think they came without on the 20-35's.

    3.7 470 amazing

They are a nifty engine. The 4.3L was cheaper and proved more reliable so any advancements were halted until it was finally discontinued in 1990... If Mercruiser kept tweaking it, they could have perfected it, but instead they forgot it

    1964 Straker

Hundreds of small companies existed from the 50's to the mid 70's.... Fiberglassics would have any information on it that is still out there in the library... If you have a title, and it runs and floats and is sound, then all is well.. It's missing the windshield

Is talormade curved windshield really glass?

Depends on the year of the boat... Taylor Made has been around for a long time doing this. I have a 1966 Starcraft Holiday 14 that has a Taylor Made windshield, advertised as glass on the Taylor Made sticker but it is very obviously a curved acrylic bubble windshield from when those were...

1968 Slickcraft 19 foot Just Purchased!

No it's not. You can see it's rotted. The staining on the drain plug gives it away

1968 Slickcraft 19 foot Just Purchased!

It's an OMC stringer with a rotted transom. Tapping a hammer will probably confirm because it's visibly deteriorated

    Transmission for a small diesel.

Parts are super expensive for that thing, if you can even find them. Ruggerini is still around, but those old Wisconson branded motors were built in the 70's.. Ruggerini made water cooled diesels that were installed into marine applications but none of the air cooled I'd grab a Kubota off an...

Older Boats Not Welcome at Lake George, NY

Ive never had the urge to go to lake George. It's a party lake and packed. Several Accidents every year. Long lake and Saratoga lake are better options in the same area

    Need help about 3.7 mercruisers

The later ones had a different exhaust riser IIRC. But otherwise just 2bbl vs 4bbl and the naming differences made it sound like they were changing things when they were not really changing anything

Not on a rotted 80's Bayliner that litter places everywhere.. Not new, but it could be tempting with a newer drive for free or so
