    I hooked it all back up the same except the alt exciter wire I ran to coil neg by accident....maybe that has fried something like the 40 am breaker

    Alright so here goes....there are 3 wires going to solenoid as well as the 12 volt to battery and then one for starter. There was 2 grounds I took off the plate solenoid was supported by. I hooked them back up as before and no keyed ignition. With key on I have 12v both sides of coil. Only way...

    So the issue happened all of a sudden. I changed points and condenser and then it would not start. I checked coil and it was dead so I replaced it. Still no spark. I also had alternator rebuilt and I found that I hooked the exciter wire to the neg on coil. That's a my bad. Turning engine over...

    All has been changed....I now for some reason had my starter solenoid get really hot and no start. Coil is new as well. I changed solenoid....still no power to coil..any suggestions...it's all hooked back up the same as when it ran
