    1995 Volvo Penta 5.8 FSI

There are no Ford engines in boats after 1996. Ford dropped all support for marine use after that.

    Engine light and beep

One riser will always be hotter than the other. In order to determine which sensor was causing this, you would have to disconnect the wire from one of them at a time and either ground it or keep it open, depending on how they work. When was the last time you changed your water pump impeller?

Changing water pump on Volvo Penta

Less than an hour. For either water pump. Depending on how hard it is to access.

    5.0 GXI-N Cooling System

You will always get water exiting from the sides. That is excess water that the engine can not accept. This is especially true before you start the engine. If the engine is not running, the water is not getting by the impeller. BTW, at least on my Volvo drive, you can't use that Mercury type...

Got it...thanks. On other forums, you can delete in the same time period that you are given to edit. Is that not an option with the new software?

You can just remove the EFI and put on a carb and intake manifold. No need to change the engine. While you are at it, you may need to change the distributor.

    Broken Spindle?

Looks like a 15 year old trailer with the wheels never removed to check or pack the bearings. Wonder what the front axle looks like. Problem is this is a torsion axle. Trying to find one to match the front may be tricky to get the exact same model and the exact same tension.

    Water in gear oil?

If its an older duo-prop one like mine, the drain plug behind the prop is hard to get the o-ring on without damaging it. I will wait until you come back with a model number. I have trick to put mine on without damaging it. Put electrical tape on the threads and then slide the o-ring over it then...

There is no way those are 4mm stitches. I know that's what the setting is but that's not what you are getting. 4mm would be a little more than 6 stitches per inch. When the stitches are as short as what you are getting, you can have a big problem with them tearing through the vinyl.

Your stitch length is WAY too short. What machine are you sewing with? It's a walking foot machine right?

Actually....no need to leave it on once the boat is moving over idle speed. I think that is what you actually meant.

So if the blower motor is on and it is 100cfm and the engine is 200cfm, that means the in vent has to have 300cfm input. Why not just keep the blower off so that the vent only has to supply the 200cfm for the motor
