    Alpha zinc fin fell off

    I dont know how but my zinc fin fell off and the bolt is gone from the hole too.I have to replace it while the boat is in the water.The big problem is that to do it right I have to split the drive to put a new bolt in to secure the zinc.Any ideas on how to attach without hauling it or splitting...

    Underpropped 280 regal ????

    I have a 280 regal with a 10ft beam.Its a big cruiser,twin 5.0lx mercr.,with alphas.weighs around 9-9500 lbs.Factory props are 141/2 x 17 and the boat cruises nicely with them.If it is choppy and I trim the drives up,they cavitate before they trim up much.I know I am not trimming them up too...

    Mercathode experts please

    I read in a clymer manual that you should not use the acorn zincs if you have a mercathode system.I have always used them and I am wondering if I should stop.Any suggestions welcome.Charlie

    wires for trim switch merc.

    As most,my trim guage does not work on my merc.o/d because the wires coroded off of the bellhousing. Should I cut the wires behind the motor to stop the stray flow of current that may be coming from the non functioning trim switch on the bellhousing??? Charlie

    5.0 lx mercruisers exhaust question

    I noticed that one of my outdrives had significantly more exhaust bubbles than the other.I just had all bellows replaced on both.The one with less exhaust bubbles runs at a slightly higher temp.Any thoughts will be appreciated.

    cleaning sunbrella top

    I have a 2 year old navy top and I have the same black run streaks that you get on your hull after it rains on it.I have tried cleaning it with mild cleaner and some bleach with no effect at all.The color is gray and the light color shows everything.Anybody have any luck with this before???Charlie

    need a suggestion to plug a hose temporarily
