Did you clean the carb? Did you do the primer assembly? Fuel pump? all should have been in 1 kit. What is your compression? that screw on the front of the carb is not the idle screw. It is the low speed mix screw and should be se around 2 turns out.
To use the starter get some jumper cables. Attach the positive to the cable stud. Now touch the negative to the starter housing. To use the remote starter switch attach the positive jumper cable to the battery side of the solenoid. Attach the - to the block somewhere. Now Attach your switch the...
Did you put oil in the cylinders before your compression test? Thats more compression than it left the factory with. What happens if you pump the primer ball on the fuel line when that is happening?
Put the throttle tight to the stop and ignore anything on the throttle. If it does not start easier that way then try opening the low speed screw on the carb an 1/8-1/4 of a turn see if that helps with starting. Good luck with your motor to much nonsense being thrown around on this post. The...
Because people are adding to much information and it is getting muddled. Try the throttle first. Float level is hold the carb upside down and set the float to level. Do not change any gaskets. the fact that it idles well says the head gasket is probably good. If you want to check do a...
Put a timing light on the motor when it is doing that. Your transition ishould be at 1800 rpm not 2500. What is your compression and spark needs to jump a 7/16 air gap.
