    the trim pump creates a higher pressure ...remove the trim cylinders on the outdrive .. then lift up the out drive is a very good movement or trim cylinders are looking the in/out buttons moving the pistons .. then remove the oil,,,, tank see if its dirty ..many have to change the oil or...

    the picture is a breakdown of the impeller ...then inspect the outdrive and change the impeller ,,, parts are worn ... I have a 1978 wellcraft suncrusier bought it in 1986 still running it today .

    Priming fuel system for new engine first start.

    I cranked the engine 5 sec ... then I put one ounce in the carb. also put the water container filter the gasoline .. then crank it 5 sec .. then 2 -3 min then crank again ... crank the throttle then crank again .. you cranked over 15 seconds then a lot of cranking .. hot as hell ..

    inspect the 2nd time using the boat season an alignment tool .. then also inspect the bellows and U joint and clean the bellows ..

    the Marine Engine Alignment Tool is very tight .... then you have to adjust the motor mounts . when you also use that tool use the boat season then inspect the alignment .. tool is a very long tool . $60-120 ... drive spline is not tight ...does not create the alignment .

    THE 470 engine starter has a total shield .then the engine cranks and does not start the engine , then the starter has a brake to not rotate in the wrong rotation . when the engine starts the starter drops the brake rotation .. bushings / motor commutator brushes ....fix it ..
