    Some good stuff happening

And this morning we mounted the finished shelves. Got the Bose 301's moved up there and rocked the shop a bit! Then later we started rearranging stuff from the rack shelves. Making room and organization happen. ;) Oh yeah, I also bought a new, very appropriate key lanyard!

    Some good stuff happening

I do have some garage updates. Last month I bought a WiFi repeater and hung it up in the garage so that I could have better internet access inside. At first it worked really well but lately it's been finicky. Still tweaking it and will try a couple ideas to improve performance further...

I have returned... with a Starcraft this time!

We flipped the transom over and soaked the other side, then wiped it down. Now it'll sit for 3 days. :joyous: Soaked and pooled. Wiped and drying.

I have returned... with a Starcraft this time!

Okay guys, I have a little time to bring you up to date while I'm waiting to go back outside. I'm in. All in! Not just the transom, but everything! :D Over the last few weeks, I've recalculated, re-planned and have been surreptitiously acquiring "stuff" to finish the Kingfisher! Motor, deck...

Transom is glued and clamped! :D Needs more clamps! I sure hope that's enough weight! :biggrin-new:

I have returned... with a Starcraft this time!

Yeah, I'd figured out it's 90 degrees at the base and the bevel was on top. I just can't cut straight! "The boy" and I got the transom sides sanded this morning. That is, he sanded and I inspected. ;) When it came time to start gluing, it became obvious to me that I don't have...

little 14 ft starcraft wont go faster than 6 mph!. (not engine spacific)

If your engine is running right and is correctly propped, it should put that little 14 footer on plane, no problemo. I used to have an aluminum 14' Sea Nymph similar to your boat that had a 25HP Mercury on it and with 3 men on board it performed very well, hitting 25-30MPH without effort. Even...

I have returned... with a Starcraft this time!

The wiring looks to be pretty good. I'll be cleaning it all thoroughly and making sure that all the connections are good and tight. :)

I have returned... with a Starcraft this time!

Made more progress today guys! Got that LU cleaned up and ready for reassembly. Just waiting on parts now. :joyous: Also bought transom plywood, clamps and ingredients for Old Timers Formula! Gave up on the epoxy/glass idea. Actually did that weeks ago but I have been remiss on keeping...

I have returned... with a Starcraft this time!

Hi guys. My family and I got bit by that stomach bug again last weekend. Slowed me down a bit since then. :puke: But I have made a little progress and need some advice. I did pick up the new water pump kit from my local dealer and it has almost everything I need. Oh! I also learned...

I have returned... with a Starcraft this time!

Oh yeah, forgot to mention... I'll be buying a new complete water pump kit. Andy said that they had several customers come in requesting the same one I need and that they'll have 3 sets next week. I looked online and most of the "complete" kits don't include the rectangular seal and mine's...

I have returned... with a Starcraft this time!

Well whaddaya know? Honest to goodness real progress! I ended up just buying the 12 point sockets I needed (the correct size was 7/16") and got the lower unit off the motor yesterday. Yay! :sneakiness: A brief reminder from March 2016. I'd removed the prop from the engine and found...

    Some good stuff happening

Thank you, sir! Much appreciated! Slowly but surely, it's getting there... :) The only garage sorta/kinda thing I've done lately was to build and erect a lamp pole to place where I park my truck. Gets dark out there at night and I wanted a solar powered motion detector LED light to...

Size comparison pics.... keep it clean now!

When I was doing research a couple years ago I found this pic online. Says it's a 71 Starchief vs a 74 Chieftain. Big difference there. And from the pic, I'd say that's not the largest Chieftain available. ;)

I have returned... with a Starcraft this time!

Well guys, as you can see in the pix, the KF is "patiently" waiting for me to stop doing "patient" stuff! Another doc appointment today. They said I'm fine, just getting old! Another appointment tomorrow and 2 more the day after that. Four last week and more this week and another a week from...

A beautiful evening for a rocket launch

SpaceX successfully launched a Falcon 9 rocket carrying an INMARSAT payload and the launch was visible from the end of my driveway. Cool stuff! I got a couple cell phone camera pix but the rocket was moving so fast I couldn't keep up as it hauled up through the sky, but the exhaust...

    Some good stuff happening

So yesterday the boy and I went out and rearranged the tools, placed my store-bought labels and made temporary labels from masking tape for the items we had but which didn't have labels. I found some DIY label stuff online and I'll be making all new labels for the drawers. Anybody notice...
