If you're sure of the barrel adjustment then the cable itself is stretched beyond it's limit. You may be able to fudge the barrel adjustment and get it working..
You guys are debating orange VS. orange, boundary layers of steel are porous, like Andy said. .."it's just a matter of time" eventually the boundaries become the foundation..
If you have a competitive nature I think you will be disappointed in either. Really depends on how you want to use it..if it were me I would finish your class and then hang out at the docks and crew on a few different boats..
I have a 35lb kayak that would be a fun time with an inline electric motor of good strength.. I would place batts towards the bow and the motor just forward of my seat.
I think it's ok,, unless you have some sensitive IT.. diodes don't like it... your alternator is probably okay but the built in voltage regulator might be damaged. I'm glad for you that the tunes still function
I've been following this thread and curiosity bit so I googled a 14 ft buccaneer and it made me wonder. I can't see how to find room for a kicker. That's a small boat to hang 2 motors on..can you offer a picture?
