    Who brought up pin colors and what they go to? Are you not seeing the five wires with bullet connectors on them that connect to the bullet connectors on the 704 control box? That make up a harness that will plug and play with the 704 ten pin harness?

    Could well be the fuel pumps. Try using the primer ball to fill the carburetors. Crank the motor and see if it will start. If it starts, runs and then dies, have someone use the primer ball to refill the carburetors and then have them keep pump the ball while the motor starts and hopefully...

    Not turning over to me means the starter motor is cranking the motor. But then you report that it turned over for about two seconds, presumably having run for a few seconds. Is it not cranking or is it not starting or is it starting but not continuing to run?

    Blue is for the lights. Red is battery power. I would not think that you would want the lights to be on all of the time. Lights are normally turned on by the key being turned on or by a separate light switch, as shown in the diagram.

    Set the multimeter on the continuity setting. Connect a probe to the brown wire. Connect the other probe to the block. There should no continuity.
