    Re: 1965 Merc 900 water pump replacement Are you talking about Part 18 in the diagram? There might be a FLUSH plug that screws into the side of the casing, this has to be removed to allow the pump body to be removed. When or not this is out you use 2 screwdrivers to pry up the pump.
